WHAT TO CARE FOR?

Men’s suits
are now an essential clothing nowadays. It is necessary to know how to take care of our suits to have a long lasting nice look even if you wear them more frequently.
Some caring tips to keep our suits long lasting:
-
Proper hanger should be used to prevent from having nasty creases, a wood hanger is preferrable.
-
Refrain from spraying strong perfume or hazardous spray, it may damage the color
-
Dry cleaning is highly recommended
-
Refrain from overloading some unnecessary stuff on your pockets, it doesn't give you a nice smooth look if you are wearing them, plus it sometimes ruins the pocket shape
-
Refrain from combining soiled suits with different color. Make sure to place dark colors aside from the lighter ones.
-
Have it pressed in between cleanings (should there be a slight crease)
-
If accidentally stained, do not rub the spot too much, get a damp cloth and rub them gently, if it still did not come off, bring them to your dry cleaner, they know better, or else it will permanently imprint the stain
-
Make sure to buy men's suit that are for professional dry cleanings only, however pressing is recommended on some small tiny creases, except the padded areas
Caring Symbols for Men’s Suit
When buying a suit, or any other garment, it is necessary to check and read the cleaning instructions, this labels means a lot to maintain the color , size and the fitting of a garment. Get familiarized with the symbol labels and what it represent. These suits are rather costly and it is a must for every wise buyer to know several tips as not to put your money in the trash and the garment to be a recycle wardrobe
Tips for Pressing Men’s Suit
-
A reliable and a good iron is necessary in pressing the suit.
-
Ironed with steam to remove wrinkle before the next wear. Do not dry press on wool suits because it can easily damage the fabric.
-
Do not over heat the iron, as it would burn the fabric or discolor the suit.
Turn over the collar and lapels when pressing away the wrinkles on the suit.
-
To iron suit, place a clean cotton or linen cloth over the suit. Do not slide the iron over the clean cloth but rather press and lift it up.
-
Clothes steamer can also help by removing wrinkles and freshening up the suit if you do not want to iron your suit. Use branded Steamer for its fast heating response, long duration of steam, and quality.
Tips for Dry Cleaning Men’s Suits
-
A proffessional and reliable cleaner a must, to prevent from damages such as discoloration or burning the fabric if sensitive.
-
Due to chemical solvents used in dry cleaning, try not wearing the same same suit every time, it would damage the fabric with it's solvent used in dry cleaning. Every 2-3 months is sugested
-
Should there be stains, spots or sensitive areas, make sure to specifically inform the dry cleaner, to pretreat the garment, or else it may permanently damage the fabric.
-
Make sure that the clean suit is kept within a plastic bag during collection and the suit is not cramped in it. Take out the clean suit from the plastic bag and air it immediately.
